Just when you thought Ella Hansen couldn’t get any cooler, she goes ahead and wins the Discmania Open.

Whoa, Ella!

And that, just a week ago! 🎉

🥏 A Brief Timeline of Ella's Stellar Rise:

2019: Ella thought, "Why not try disc golf?"
Fast-forward to today: She's rubbing shoulders with the creme-de-la-creme of disc golfers, leaving many awestruck with her quick ascent.

Crazy, right? How did she do it?

Well, Ella ain’t your ordinary rookie.

Before embracing the disc golf world, she was a sensation in ultimate teams, winning national AND world titles.
(Yep, world titles. No big deal, right?)

Fun fact: Ella's signature move? Picking up the disc and hitting a teammate in the end zone with just one throw.

Hence, the rad nickname.

As a freshman, she helped the University of Oregon’s women's ultimate team, “Fugue,” snatch the 2015 College Championships.

Talk about leaving a mark!

Remember that feeling when you realized pineapple does go on pizza?

That’s how Ella felt about joining Oregon’s team, Fugue.

It was her first-time feeling a true team bond and, boy, they were hungry for those titles!

Also, anyone heard of the Callahan Award?

Only the MVP award for the U.S.A. Ultimate collegiate division.

And guess who was a top finalist in 2018?

Yep, our girl Ella!

🚀 Zooming into Disc Golf Glory! 🚀

So, when life gave Ella COVID lemons, she made disc golf lemonade!

When team sports took a backseat due to the pandemic, Ella's introduction to disc golf became her new playground.

It started in 2019 during a casual throw-around with coworkers.

Though initially thrown off (pun intended!) by how disc golf discs flew, her relentless spirit had her hooked and improving in no time.

And improve she did.

She scooped up third place in her first Professional Disc Golf Association-sanctioned tournament in 2020.

Not stopping there, she soon was attracting sponsors left and right!

Cue massive applause.👏

With her win at the Winter Siege in Oregon and continued coaching, Ella is geared up and rearing to take on even bigger challenges in the FPO (Open Women) division.

She's a testament to what hard work, passion, and a bit of competitive spirit can achieve!

Looking Ahead... 🌄

Ella has her sights set high.

While she's super committed to disc golf now, she hasn't completely ruled out playing ultimate casually.

As she polishes her skills, she dreams big: a world championship win.

But for her, it's not just about the trophies.

Ella hopes to inspire and be a beacon of positivity in the disc golf world.

In her own words,

"I want to be an example of a person who is highly competitive and pushes the game in new directions while also demonstrating good spirit of the game and just being a good person."
