Carving Up The Woods…

Let me take you on a wild ride through the universe of disc golf, where a certain Isaac “Robinhood” Robinson is leaving stardust trails in his wake!

At a spry 21, our boy Isaac sky-rocketed to disc golf stardom – think of it as being handed the intergalactic keys to the disc golf kingdom – when he claimed victory at the 2022 LWS Open at Idlewild.

Not only did this win put him on the map, but his stellar performances at the Portland Open and Green Mountain Championship had everyone and their grandma chatting about him over their morning coffee.

"Seen that Robinson kid?"

"He's like the Elon Musk of disc golf!"
(I may have made that last part up.)

Our main man Isaac isn’t some overnight sensation.

Nah, this Georgia peach has been flinging discs since he was knee-high to a grasshopper.

It was a no-brainer that the disc golf universe outside the southeastern US would soon get a taste of the Isaac magic.

Quick bit of info to impress your buddies with: as of now, Robinson ranks as the 2nd best disc golfer globally.

Yup, that’s right!

And after winning the Disc Golf World Championships, he's earned himself a free pass to the very VIP event, the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship.

But who is Isaac Robinson, you ask?

Let's dig deeper…

When did he start playing disc golf?

Baby Isaac was just five when he got his first disc – a Millenium fairway driver, if you're into specifics.

Soon, weekends looked like this: Isaac, his dad, and a bunch of siblings at the park.

"The family vibe just pulled me in," Isaac reminisces. "Going park-hopping with my dad and brothers? That was the stuff!"

In the Robinson household, with eight kids running around (seven dudes and one diva), there was never a dull moment.

You know how they say, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?" Well, constant competition with his siblings turned Isaac into a fierce competitor.

"I despise losing. Like, a lot."

No surprise then, when Isaac found out he was a natural at disc golf, he was all in!

Fast-forward a bit, and Isaac, teamed up with his bro Ezra, started wiping the floor with competitors at the local disc golf league.

"The guys at the league? Super cool. They kept pushing me," Isaac says, "And you know what? Even as a kid, I was already wiping the floor with most of them."

When did Pro come into the picture?

After a super close game at the 2016 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships – think one tiny stroke – Isaac thought, "Time to go big!" That’s when he turned pro.

Enter Prodigy: they saw the potential in Isaac and gave him the platform to shine.

"Prodigy? Those guys were the real MVPs. They got me started in the big leagues," Isaac gushes.

Fast forward: Isaac's pro journey

From winning his very first MPO in 2017 to gradually climbing up the USDGC ladder, Isaac’s mantra is progress.

"If you track my USDGC journey," he grins, "I should be hitting first place in no time! And winning that? Man, it's been my dream since forever!"

The pinnacle so far?

That crazy win at Idlewild, a Champion’s Cup and finally, Isaac got the taste of victory as a World Champion, and boy, is he hungry for more!

I mean… this dude’s INSANE, right?

Why's he so fast on the field?

If you've seen Isaac in action, you'd know he doesn't dilly dally.

Get the disc, aim, throw. Rinse and repeat.

"I've always played fast," Isaac shrugs. "Check the wind, my stance, and bam! Throw the disc."

This young gun's secret sauce is mostly fairway drivers, midranges, and putters.

Slow and steady wins the race, right?

The Future?

A year past graduation, Isaac's already turning people’s heads, winning World Titles, and having a blast with his brother, Ezra, as they both continue to make a statement on the pro tour.

"Bring on the continued full-time touring!" he exclaims. “I’m more hungry now than I’ve ever been!”

And when he's not playing?

You’d find him geeking out over national parks and landmarks. "Seeing the Redwoods? Absolute dream!"

What's next for Isaac as he continues to dominate on tour sitting 1 spot back of the #1 Disc Golfer In The World?

Only time will tell.

But one thing's for sure: he's here to stay, make waves, and grab those titles.

So, what do you say, are you gonna jump on the Isaac Robinson bandwagon?
